MJ Ballooning

Welcome to MJ Ballooning. We are one of the largest special shape hot air balloon teams in the world, based in Bristol UK, with a passion for keeping the magic of these shapes alive and in the skies for many years to come.

Bristol Balloon Collectors

We look after old hot air balloons and preserve them for years to come. The aim of the collection is to save old envelopes from being destroyed and forgotten in storage, and even to take them to events all over the UK for everyone to enjoy. With a growing number of balloons in our collection, we have attended the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta, Midlands Air Festival and Longleat Meet's to name a few events.

Ultra Magic

Ultra Magic is a manufacturer of hot air balloons and hot air balloon accessories such as the baskets and burners.

Kubicek Balloons UK

With over 2100 Hot air Balloons built to date and over 40 years of experience, Kubicek Balloons is one of the largest and trusted Hot air Balloon manufacturers in the world supplying balloons to the USA, Asia, Africa and Europe.

The British Balloon Museum and Library

The British Balloon Museum and Library (BBM&L) is the official museum of the British Balloon and Airship Club. A small group of balloonists formed the BBM&L in 1979; we are a registered charity with the objective of preserving the many different items associated with, and used in, hot air and gas ballooning, and other forms of lighter-than-air flight. We have no physical museum to house our collection but, thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund, you can now explore many items in our collection for the first time online.

The British Balloon and Airship Club

The BBAC was founded in 1965 and since then, through volunteers, has promoted the enjoyment, advancement and safety of lighter-than-air flight. It aids in the training of pilots and crew members, as well as encouraging the growth of lighter-than-air flying (hot air balloons, gas ballooning and airships), through everything from individual flying to large events. It also promotes competitive ballooning at both national and international level, with UK competition pilots becoming some of the best in the world.
